If we break the word android than we have (and+droid)the world and stands for name of developer of android i.e  Andy Rubin and droid means robot .Many of us think android was developed by Google no it was developed by Andy Rubin who became the head of Android development at Google after the acquisition in 2005. Google purchased this company because they know Android Inc. had a interesting concept — of creating a powerful  mobile operating system — and its considerable mobile arsenal. Android helped Google to read the mind of  younger audience as well as give the company a number of brilliant employees from Android Inc. On March 2013, Andy Rubin decided to give up  the company he founded, Android, to move on to  some another project. However, Android hasn't miss a step, and replaced him with Sundar Pichai. Pichai is  the head of Chrome OS — Google's desktop operating system (for laptops and desktops) — so his experiences leading development teams should be beneficial to Google.
